wow. love that last one.
so simple contrast… it’s not a good one i think.
That’s interesting XD
You blog always make me smile!
Please post more pictures and save the Church!
Thanks!
That is an amazing contrast. What a mess things have become.
Is that a REAL picture of a “nun” being ordained, or fake?
It must be a fake – no mun who wears a proper winple like that would attempt ordination!
PS: The pic of lots of nuns – that is the MADDEST habit I have ever seen, and that is putting up with some stiff competition!
No, that is an actual “ordination” attempt by “Mgsr” Pat Buckley, a Thuc line “bishop”.
You could probably find more about him, but I find this on google quick:
http://www.bishoppatbuckley.co.uk/
Sadly I’m to young to remember them but not to young to miss them all the same.
Interestingly, a group of “Episcopal Organization” nuns who wear trady-esque habits also fancy themselves ordained… I used to have photos of it somwhere.
I am thinking the mod altar girl photos were taken at an all girl academy? Or maybe there are no boys at all that go to Mass there?
The nun isn’t going through a fake ordination. It looks like she’s just taking her final vows.
Dymphna, this was an attemped “ordination”. She’s wearing a chasuble, and having her hands annointed.
instead of giving a sermon on service to the church through vocations, our monsignor lamented the fact that priests can’t get married, but hoped that one day they might.
rather than selling people on the priesthood and a life of service to the church, he mostly spoke of his disatisfaction at not having children.
much like your fourth and fifth pictures, four of our five altar servers this morning were girls.
my parish will never produce any vocations to the priesthood, unless of course they start ordaining women.
traditional parishes produce vocations in greater numbers than do nontraditional churches, and my parish is becoming less and less traditional every day.
monsignor is a charismatic, and our liturgy is really beginning to reflect this also.
attendance at Mass is off by about 20% or so today compared to when i first began attending the parish early last year.
Haha I laughed a lot wathing the pictures. I totally agree with your point of view ; as an altar servers’ leader I only accept boys (and our bishop totally agrees with this point of view).
Thanks for this blog !
