My “Religious” New Years Resolution: (as opposed to my “temporal” resolution: quit smoking) To Pray for the Dead More, as so many Catholics now assume that Grandpa automatically reaches the Beatific Vision directly after death. No one prays for them anymore, as they are not told the Truth. Every funeral is now a Canonization.

I always wondered while looking on old Papal Functions why things just looked more “mystical” or just had a strange ambience lacking in the modern functions. (Besides the obvious changes in Liturgy, Vestments, etc). Well, then I saw two pics I had saved, and noticed the change in lighting. Compare the 2 below pics of St. Peter’s. Notice the difference in lighting, the old pic (on top) has the chandeliers stringed together. The new pic (on bottom) has no chandeliers.

Firstly, I want to Thank You to All who prayed for me these last couple of weeks. I am not in the agony I was in before, but still not feeling well, and am still being “diagnosed”, still taking different tests, etc…Please continue to pray for me as things are still “touch & go” with the pain. If I don’t get a chance to get back before the 25th.. Merry Christmas!
