I think most parishes could use more nuns of any size, though! Real nuns dressed in their habits, not the makeup wearing, modern shirt and skirt type that we can’t tell from any other woman standing next to them. Nuns should stand out, not blend in.
We live in a wealthy suburb of Chicago, and our new library is very typical in its coldish modern design, but lo and behold, right after you walk in (twenty of so feet), there is a small coffee booth run by habit-wearing nuns. Sometimes when I’m walking home from daily Mass early in the morning saying my Rosary, I’ll see one the “workers” in her long black habit walking from the train station to the coffee shop. What a beautiful sight. It’s as if I died and went to heaven. Bring back the habit-wearing nuns! All sizes!
