You have probably heard Catholic blogs being critiqued for their “radical” tendencies, and just general overly opinionated blabbering. Some have even referred to an elusive figure of the “pope of the blogosphere”. While some would say this is only a term to personify this blight, and is not an actual being, I present to you a picture of this quite real, flesh and blood character. Indeed I have had the honour working closely with His Holiness in the past. His papal name, for those in the know is Squirrelius II (there was a first one, but we don’t speak of him since his re-union with “Modernist New Rome”, he was ran over by a car while foraging for nuts shortly after his modernist apostasy. The Lord doth smite him for his capitulation!).
He extends to all His Apostolic Benediction for the Feast of the Blessed Trinity
(Plenary Indulgence with usual requirements)
(Have a Good Weekend!)
Haaa! Awesome! I think Fr. Z should be the Pope of the internet. Or he should at least be the parish priest of the internet.
Respectly, I think he’s the patriarch of the internet, “primus inter pares”…
PS: I’m not a cismatic orthodox 😉
Is this a real living squirrel?
LOL, poor animal!
Hey! Where’s the college of hamster-cardinals in cappa magna?
I am not amused. This is really a bizarre “joke”. What do you find of humor in that offensive and mean picture?
Please, take away the squirrel the cross and the papal vestments. In the feast of Holy Trinity it’s an unpleasant show.
Theodorus: I do believe it is an actual living squirrel.
Leo: If you find a picture of that, I’d love to see it. Perhaps you can stage it? I mean how hard could it be to capture, and train a bunch of sqirrels, create lilttle cardinal outfits, and keep them still for a couple of minutes to snap a picture?
Anon: I’m sorry you’re not amused. And, yes, I do find humour in that “offensive & mean” picture (you find a dressed up squirrel mean & offensive?).
What small idyllic Amish town do you live in? You need to get out more, there are some truly mean and offensive things out there to protest.
Werner: Relax yourself boy-o, take that lemon out of your mouth.
And, for the rest of ya out there, if I get any more complaints, I will dedicate this blog from now on exclusively to “animals dressed in silly outfits”. 🙂
Hear, hear!
Like catholics like you, there is not need the islamists to come and overcome us.
Thanks Hugh!? (I guess?)
I’ll help you out here, I believe you meant to say:
“with Catholics like you, there is no need for the Muslims to conquer us”.
Yes, Hugh, I am very “dangerous”: a guy with a blog, who occasionally shows a slight sense of humour. Come on!
Man, people are uptight as all heck! I never thought a picture of a squirrel dressed in very silly looking apparel would garner so much critique. I’m now seen as a bigger threat to the remains of Christendom than Islam!
Hey Ken,
just came back to see if those hamsters are in yet. Looks like I’ll have to do it myself, though, don’t I?
Also wanted to let you know that I not only completely support your sense of humor but even more appreciate that it helps to reveal what is lacking in the church today: People who know when to put on a sour face and when not. Sad.
Cheers,
Leo
