Neighbors

This picture just makes me think of a real neighborhood, kind of like where I grew up. Speaking of neighborhoods, the Internet is a strange and wonderful place. I was doing some reading up on the green house thing, which brought up the Ozone layer, which mentally dragged me back to my old neighborhood, Ozone Park in Queens, NY. Strange thing is, there is actually a pretty large Wiki post on Ozone Park. Go read about it, it was a pretty interesting place to grow up. Jack Kerouac, Cyndi Louper, and Bernadette Peters would agree!

Caption: FBI Agents and Technicians from the NYC Medical Examiners’ Office equipped with backhoes dig in a deserted industrial lot on the border of Brooklyn and Queens in New York. They are searching of a number of missing underworld figures with ties to various crime families. This area of Ozone Park has been known as “The Hole” for over fifty years and is reputed to have been the final resting place for a number of mob figures.
Where was the top photo taken?
