Peter: Be ye subject therefore to every human creature for God’s sake: whether it be to the king as excelling; Or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of the good: For so is the will of God, that by doing well you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men (Peter 2:13)
Paul: For princes are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good: and thou shalt have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to thee, for good. But if thou do that which is evil, fear: for he beareth not the sword in vain. For he is God’s minister: an avenger to execute wrath upon him that doth evil. (Romans 13:3)

Confessed murderer of Mrs. Mary Lochirco, 56, mother of two

02 Jan 1946, Landsberg, Germany — Franz Strasser, former Nazi official who was recently hanged as a war criminal for the killing of American flyers, is pictured in Landsberg prison shortly before he walked the last mile to the gallows. One of the last to visit the convicted criminal was a German Catholic priest Karl Morgenschweis, shown praying with the condemned man.

Also: A timely post on the matter by Mr. Caveman
( I just say murderers, rapists, and child molesters, sheesh!, Sixtus would consider me a bleeding heart!)
Recently I had a discussion with a Novus Ordo Catholic. He was telling me that the main problem with the SSPX (I attend an SSPX chapel) is that we are not following the Holy Spirit.
So, he was telling me that before Vatican II, the Spirit spoke to the Catholic Church in one way to fit the needs of the world at that time. And so it was good for that age of the Church.
But now, the Spirit has changed directions, in a new way. And to not follow the Church in this new direction is to not follow the Spirit.
I quoted him from Hebrews, Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Then he counted with the John 3, that the Spirit is like wind and you cannot tell where it comes and goes.
I think he’s full of BS, but this is the attitude and sincere belief of the New Church.
Dave
I meant to ask… how are you feeling these days?
In Germany prelate Nemer chief of German “Caritas” with nearly 500.000 employees said that prison doesn´t help in cases of young criminal (muslim) immigrants (with up to 50 criminal acts) because in prison they become more criminal than before! http://www.kreuz.net/article.6463.html
He thinks German society has to rehabilitate them.
In Germany we have a huge problems with muslims but our judges, politicians and the bishops ignore it totally.
I always thought that it is the duty of prelates to evangelize (vae mihi si non evangelizero ..) and not to talk socialistic newspeak.
@ Dave Wahlen
SSPX follows the Holy Spirit. After my first holy mass in a SSPX-chapel I became a catholic convert.
The spirit doesn´t speak through the “new” Church. Their NOM is worse than protestantism because most of the protestants do not know what they are doing but the “new” catholics deliberately changed the unchangeable doctrine and the holy mass of our Holy Mother the Church.
Dave, some of these folks de facto speak as if the Church was wrong after the Apostles died, and that Vat II kinda “re-oreinted” the Church back in line with the Holy Spirit. Very similiar with the early Protestants, who believed the Church was wrong until they came along. The Church does move with the times, and yet stays the same “Ever Ancient, Ever New”.
Carolina: I have been feeling somewhat better, and hope to get back to work soon (taken off to see what this is, and how to treat it). Seems to be a kind a Neuropathic Facial Pain caused by a damaged nerve due to Dental work. Between medication, phy therapy, and just allowing it to heal, I’m about 80-90%. Thanks for asking.
Martina: We in the US have the same problem, they just go to prison, get bigger, meaner, stronger, with better networking into gangs. In the US muslims have a strong prison presence, and many criminals convert to Islam for protection from voilence (or worse). I sympathize with Europe and the problems that will happen in the future due to the growing presence of the followers of the “moon god”. Ecumenism has killed, conquered, and eaten Catholic evangelization. Too busy dialoging with them, I’m afraid even the current Pontiff (whom I otherwise greatly admire) has succumbed to this utter waste of time.
We talk goodwill ecu-blatter, and they build mosques. When the muslims are the majority, they will stop talking, and start their “convertion of Europe to Islam”. i.e.: killing, raping, and rampage until eventual submission. Maybe another 50 years or so.
Thanks for linking to me, Ken!
Excellent post, by the way.
Thank you very much.
Europe has forgotten what it means to be Christian. Well, that’s not entirely accurate. Europeans flee from what it means to be Christian. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they’ve forgotten what it means to have a child. Unfortunately, muslims have not forgotten either.
They better wake up, and shake off the P.C. noose.
How wonderful that the Priests had an opportunity to save the souls of the criminals.
Bingo, Thank you Viking. Was the point of the post, some folks just saw it as “glamorizing” the death penalty. You picked up on even if condemned by the state (rightfully in these cases), they still have a chance with God.
This is a very good post Ken88
Hope you had a good Christmas and Happy New Year…
