Since everybody seemed to love the Princess Grace pic (especially the Ladies), I might as well give you the rest, huh? Well here you go:
Look down with favor, O Lord, we beseech Thee, upon these Thy servants, and graciously protect this, Thine ordinance, whereby Thou hast provided for the propagation of mankind; that they who are joined together by Thy authority may be preserved by Thy help; through Christ our Lord. Amen. (Holy Matrimony)

After the wedding, in keeping with Tradition, the Princess goes to St. Devote Church:

Grace Kelly in a Private moment of Prayer (Don’t know when, before/after wedding) :

I felt honored to meet the Princess – well, shake her hand, when I lived in Boston c.1976. She was an extraordinary woman and truly a devout Catholic. Shortly after her death an Italian priest wanted her cause for canonization opened – which I felt was a bit over the top – nevertheless, she was a good Catholic. Nonetheless, she ought to be something of a model for the worldly woman of today to emulate.
I like to think the last photo is of the Princess before or after making her Confession.
After the Blessed Mother (of course), Grace Kelly was surely the loveliest woman ever to have touched foot to earth.
Terry- I agree, a good role model for ladies, -stylish, pretty, dignified.
Jon-Very Pretty also, we see why the Church made women wore some kind a veil, the male eye is very weak indeed.
i have often seen pictures of jackie kennedy wearing a mantilla
Ah. Too bad the wedding fashions of today call for spilling cleveage. Such an assualt on the eyes. Grace looks absolutely elagant, gorgeous and very demure.
After I made my comment I saw this from your fisheater link:
“As far as wonderfully girly wedding plans go, I will note here that the bride’s dress 3 (and bridesmaids’ dresses) must conform to the same rules of modesty and decorum that apply any time a woman enters a church, i.e., her head must be covered, the dress must cover the knees when standing or sitting, the neckline should be modest, etc. No spaghetti strap, totally sleeveless, backless, side-split, mini-length, plunging neckline, sassy little Vera Wang numbers allowed. Of all the days of her life, the last day a woman should want to present herself to the world as sex object is the day she gives herself totally to her husband in marriage. “
She was exceedingly beautiful..& i’ve nothing against her..but please after Our Lady to be the most beautiful woman who touched the earth! Nah…Mother Teresa was far more beautiful as were/are many holy people…
It was lovely to see her dressed modestly for her wedding..not quite the same as her Hollywood garb..but there you go!
Jackie,
Am I safe in assuming you’re a woman?
