Thy throne is prepared from of old: thou art from everlasting. The floods have lifted up, O Lord: the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves, With the noise of many waters. Wonderful are the surges of the sea: wonderful is the Lord on high. (Psalm 92)

Eucharistic Congress held in Genova, Italy. Sept 9th 1923
If only we had more ships like that!
Isn’t it nice, some kind of fantasy ship. We used to put so much artistic talent into everything.
i love it!
Wonderful pictures ! Thank you.
Is this possibly a suggestion for Quebec 2008 ?
FANTASTICAL!!!! Where do you find all this good stuff?
Adam, I am in front of a computer all day at work, and I just search around the web in between actual work.
all these images…makes you want to stand straight w/attention..proud..defensive against those that keep trying to cripple our heritage & beliefs…many thanks
Thanks Anon.
I may be wrong, but wasn’t Pacelli part of this Eucharistic Congress, too? I seem to remember watching a short video clip and he is there (the one in Genoa).
On a similar note, have you found pictures on the Eucharistic Congress in Budapest? That was a good one, too!
In fact, as you said Ken, we used to put much more artistic talent into everything. For the one in Budapest an exact replica (smaller though) of the Baldacchino of St. Peter’s was made so that Pacelli could say the Mass using it. I saw a picture of it once (and a short video of it, too) but the Baldacchino was not the main focus of the whole thing: The Eucharist (of course) and Pacelli (in a good way) were!
Hello Latin Mass, I do have some pictures of the Eucharistic Congress in Budapest with Cd. Pacelli somewhere. I also saw the video on your blog (I believe the long one about Pius XII whole life). (PS. I filched it, it’s actually on my video link page, with a few other you found
) Just trying to keep them all in 1 place.
