Iraq could only be governed by a Secular Strongman, like… what wuz him name.. oh yeah.. Saddam. Yes, he was a power-hungry maniac, but Christians were left alone under his regime, and Sunnis and Shi’ites were too scared to get out of line. Democracy is not a Universal, and it does not work for all people at all times. Enough with the political idolatry. We have unleashed hell on these people, and released the Genie of Jihad. The one thing both the Sunni’s and Shi’ites agree on: they hate Christians. Pray for the Church there. I hope the war-mongering Evangelical Zionist “christians” (heretics) reap what they have sown.
“Democracy is not a Universal, and it does not work for all people at all times. Enough with the political idolatry.”
I couldn’t agree more! Thanks for your courage in saying this.
I really love your blog and check it regularly. But an apostrophe does not a plural make.
Terry: Us Americans are brainwashed from cradle to grave on “extra demokratia nulla salus” (mixed latin/greek). Last night I watched the all 3 new “Star Wars” in a row on HBO, and the whole story was about how wonderful Democracy was. I have very little interest in politics, but sometimes the pseudo-messianic undertones to “our system” are sickening.
Pete: I am not a writer, hence the many pictures on my blog. Thanks though!
Superbly stated!!!
Muslims do not accept democracy–their religion demands theocracy-such a waste!!!
My goodness, I’m not used to seeing this much common sense, so early in the morning. Come to think of it, I’m not used to seeing it, at all, on American blogs.
