It’s a damn shame that liberal “Catholics” use the name, and memory of Bl. John XXIII to justify their heresy, and contempt of Truth. The worst we can say about him was that we was perhaps a little overly optimistic of the state of the world, and the Church in relation to it. He would be shocked and sickened at the new liturgical sensibility. Besides, does he look like a liberal
? Gosh, he looks like a Pope from the 13th century.
How do the liberals like this:

To propagate the truth of Jesus Christ is the truest function of the Church. Indeed, “it is the solemn duty of the Church to impart to . . . peoples, so far as possible, the outstanding blessings of her life and her teaching, from which a new social order should be derived, based on Christian principles. ( Bl. John XXIII PRINCEPS PASTORUM)

Correction: add an I to his Roman numeral.
And quite right: he wasn’t what the liberals make him out to be!
He wanted more seminaries to teach in Latin.
As a prudential matter he recommended that superiors of religious orders not have homosexuals ordained.
Thanks for pointing out the missing digit Serge. I just can stand when the heretodox use him as banner for female priests, homo priests, psycho liturgy. If the looked at the man honestly, without their agenda, they would discover he was a pretty conservative Pope. And, his language on the document about homosexuals in seminary pulled no punches, unlike the recent doc from the Vatican.
Very true, one of the bigest lies ever conceived by the media has been of John XXIII as a liberal pope. John XXIII was a traditional pope that wanted to refresh the Church, but never seeked or envisioned the dramatic change that actually ocurred. I think that had he lived through the whole II Vatican Council, something different would have come out of it. He certainly possed a humility that Montini did no have, as Montini seeked to profit from the temporal powers of the papacy. John XXIII was a still primarily a priest, while Montini and his succesors felt more attracted to the temporal powers of the papacy.
